Die “Proteas” planen schon 6 Tage vor dem offiziellen WM-Beginn am Sonntag, den 25. Juli, in Deutschland einzutreffen. Der Präsident des South African Tenniquoits Board, Hein van der Lith, sucht für seine Mannschaft deutsche Testspielgegner und hat diesbezüglich eine offizielle Anfrage an den WTF-Generalsekretär Reinhard Plog gerichtet. Die Südafrikaner sind darauf eingerichtet, alle Kosten dieser Pre-Tour (Transfer, Unterkunft, Verpflegung) zu tragen, Vereine oder Landesturnverbände außerhalb des TV Mittelrheins hätten so relativ einfach eine Möglichkeit, etwas WM-Luft vor Ort zu schnuppern.

Die WM-Organisatoren können schon mal die brasilianische und die weißrussische Fahne sowie die Nationalhymnen der beiden WTF-Mitglieder bereitlegen: Aus den Neujahrsbotschaften dieser beiden neuen Ringtennisnationen geht hervor, dass jetzt in Sao Paulo und Minsk die Reisevorbereitungen zur zweiten Ringtennis-WM Anfang August in Koblenz konkreter werden.
